Sydney Sightings

Looming in the distance it waits for you. It sits patiently, confidently knowing its significance. You walk and walk and walk through beautiful parks filled with beautiful people, past beautiful buildings and onto the waterfront. Suddenly you are confronted with an edifice that lives up to its legendary status as the beacon of the far side of the world.
The Sydney Opera House. And across the way, the Sydney Harbour Bridge:
And it is beautiful. So beautiful that it moves you to tears. And then your phone falls off its Chinese-made selfie stick, catching a shot of it in action, and the back smashes into tiny little pieces so you have real reason to cry.
But the view, the distance, the reality of this huge little island continues to toy with your emotions. So you smile and smile and smile.
Then you go back at night to have reasonably priced drinks at the Opera Bar with stunning views. It doesn't even matter that you share the outdoor space with the occasional cockroach.
And the next day you hop on a ferry to get to the beach and another view presents itself:
And you just can't get enough.
