From the rather chaotic main ferry pier, a Tunamaya speedboat picked us up to take us to the secluded little section of beach that housed our bungalows.
As promised, the water was invitingly clear. Unfortunately, Paul caught a glimpse of a passing baby reef shark and that was the end of his foray into the water.
Unlike most of our holidays, the ensuing days devolved into a series of beach time, nap time and not much else. The weather remained humid and perfectly beachy.
I won't lie; I got a bit stir crazy. With only the hotel restaurant to eat at and only this beach to wander, I was forced to stop, sit and read for a while. Horrible problems, I'm aware.
As for me, I made my way back to Tioman's main ferry port in order to head to a more populated (but only slightly more populated) part of the island. Rosa joined me a day later.
This time, we took to the water to swim amongst the sharks.

Sunset after beautiful sunset, the time went surprisingly quickly. And sooner than later, I was putting Paul on a ferry back to Mersing to head back to Singapore to go back to London.
